During the unique SWELL Sculpture Festival Gold Coast, Currumbin Beach is transformed into a massive outdoor art gallery of modern sculptures by local, national, and international artists. The Currumbin Beach will be home to around 70 monumental contemporary sculptures and pop-up installations for the festival’s 2023 iteration. The SWELL Smalls Gallery at its beachfront location and the cultural activities at SWELL Fringe in Wallace Nicoll Park, Currumbin, are both returning.

Based in Currumbin on Queensland’s Gold Coast, SWELL Sculpture Festival is a multidisciplinary arts organisation that links people, art, and place. In the primary exhibition on Currumbin Beach since 2003, SWELL has put on 873 sculptures and has continued to forge connections between people, art, and the site.
