Tugun Lights Up
December 2, Toolona Street
In 2023, Tugun Lights Up will return for its eleventh annual event! Take advantage of the great local business deals, browse the Christmas market stalls, or eat outside at one of the beautiful local cafes or restaurants.
You are welcome to bring the kids along, as there will be lots of kid-friendly entertainment available during the performance, including a special appearance by Santa! The celebration begins at 4 pm.
North Burleigh CAROLS by the Sea
December 7, Ed Hardy Park
The Carols by the Sea event on December 7 is another fantastic event you should not miss. Food trucks, market stalls, roving entertainers, arts and crafts, children’s games, and a bounce house and bubble zone are all part of the festival from 4 p.m.
Be sure to assemble close to the stage for the entertainment, which begins at 6 p.m. and ends at 8 p.m. Christmas carols, live music, local acts, and a surprise appearance by Santa will make Ed Hardy Park merry!

Christmas Markets
The Village Markets
The Village Markets provide carefully curated markets and events highlighting the most outstanding local companies while fostering creativity, teamwork, and positive energy. Every month, on the first and third Sundays from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Burleigh Heads State School hosts a boutique fashion and lifestyle market.
Their final four scheduled activities in 2023 are for November 5 and 19 and December 3 and 17.
Burleigh Heads Art and Craft Markets
Discover the Gold Coast’s oldest art and craft market on the last Sunday of the month at the lovely Justins Park. The market is inside the grounds of Burleigh Heads State School, at the intersection of West Burleigh Road and Lower Gold Coast Highway.
The school oval and its surroundings offer free parking and admission. November 26 and December 31 are their final scheduled market dates in 2023, so take advantage of this!
