The gallant Australian and New Zealand Army Corps, or ANZACs, landed at Gallipoli in 1915 and sacrificed themselves there for the greater good. The dawn service offers a chance for reflection during the calm, serene hours just before morning.
On April 25, the Currumbin RSL Dawn Service will be at Elephant Rock on Currumbin Beach. Many young and old will travel to Currumbin Beach for Australia’s largest regional ANZAC dawn service to pay their respects and stand in unison.
If you want to attend in person, the march will start at 4:35 am, and the Dawn Service will follow at 5 am. Following the dawn ceremony, there will be a Gunfire breakfast at the Currumbin RSL, which is $5 for members of the general public and free for veterans, sub-branch members, and active duty personnel.
For areas outside the ceremonial precinct, there is no registration needed. But be sure to arrive early.
